In-Person Birth Doula Package Includes
During this introductory visit you and I will meet and decide if we are a good match for one another. We will discuss what your needs are from a birth doula, and what your plans are for birth. This consult can take place by phone, video chat, or in person at a coffee shop/cafe’, and is free of charge.
During this 2-hour in person meeting we will get to know each other better. We will discuss the stages of labor, your birth wishes, labor positions, comfort measures, interventions, and what to expect–so that you can stay calm and confident during your birthing time.
On Call Pregnancy Support
After you hire me, I am here for support throughout your pregnancy, every step of the way. I am available via phone, email, and text to answer any questions or concerns you might have. This includes information to help you plan and prepare for your baby, monthly pregnancy related emails, and recommendations for trusted community resources.
Labor and Birth Support
Once you are in established labor I will meet you at your chosen location, whether it be the hospital, birth center, or your home. As labor progresses, my role is to provide you with empowerment, information, comfort and support and to remain by your side. Once your baby is born, I will stay for at least 1 more hour to assist with breastfeeding and bonding.
Postpartum Follow-Up Visit
After you settle in at home as a new family, we will schedule a postpartum home visit . During this time I will check in with you to see how you are doing both physically and emotionally, and discuss how you feel about your birth experience. We will also talk about how breastfeeding is going, and I will answer any newborn care questions you may have.
